Nanette has always been an artist at heart. Since
childhood she has drawn on stacks of computer paper Dad brought home from
the office, creating characters and stories from her imagination. Her
imagination is just as vivid today as it was in childhood.
Nanette is known for her whimsical characters which
can be found world wide on products including fabric, puzzles, balloons,
posters, calendars, and holiday and home decor. Nanette’s unique nutcrackers
and Christmas ornaments, manufactured and sold world-wide by Kurt Adler
Co., are considered collector’s items.
It is Nanette’s wish that
her work may in some way bring laughter, love and harmony to a troubled world.
Nanette enjoys combining her art with words and often includes inspiring
text with her illustrations.
Nanette is the author of many decorative painting
instruction and soft-craft books, many trade magazine articles dealing with
painting and creativity, and children’s sticker and activity books. She is a
member of the Society of Decorative Painters and has been inducted into the Society of
Illustrators.
Having traveled the country teaching decorative
painting to students young and old at painting conventions and seminars,
Nanette believes that everyone is an artist at heart.
When Nanette isn’t painting, you can find her enjoying
time with her husband and five children. Las Vegas is home base for the
Hilton family.
